Balbriggan Community Council
Balbriggan Community Council is a voluntary organisation based in the beautiful seaside town of Balbriggan.
We work with and for the residents and voluntary groups and organisations of Balbriggan and it's environs. We work closely with FCC, elected officials and other relevant organisations to get better amenities and facilities for Balbriggan and environs.
Our main focus is ensuring that we get the best possible amenities and infrastructure for all the residents in Balbriggan. We are currently lobbying to get better services in the Balbriggan Primary Care Centre and finding a resolution to the ongoing pollution issues in the Harbour and sea.
We have been involved in a number of successful projects for Balbriggan, such as saving the library, getting the much loved skatepark and much needed playgrounds. Most recently we were successful in saving the trees and altering the proposed Harry Reynolds Road cyclepath.
We will continue to work closely with the community, groups, organisations, local businesses, elected officials and other relevant stakeholders for many more years to come.

Working Together for a Better Balbriggan for All
where your money goes
Currently our main project that we are working on is a Judicial Review of 95 Unit Build to Rent complex on Quay Street and High Street. This is a landmark case for Balbriggan, being the first time a planning decision for Balbriggan, has been appealed in the Courts.
We also fundraise for running costs and projects that we work on independently and in collaboration with other local community groups and organisations.
We run a number of events through the year, such as Busking for Balbriggan. This has proved to be hugely popular and we hope to keep this a feature every year.
We are incredibly grateful for all the support and money that we receive. 100% of what we raise goes directly back to Balbriggan.
history
Balbriggan Community Council was founded in 2014 after the successful Save Our Library campaign and after the dissolution of the Town Council. We felt it was important to ensure that Balbriggan and environs still had an organisation that could campaign and lobby, on their behalf, for much needed amenities for Balbriggan
