Our 4 Child Development Centres are at the heart of how we positively impact the lives of 330 children every week through early intervention and therapeutic support. Our Centres are strategically located around Ireland in each province, so that we can support as many families as possible.
Sensational Kids Centres are designed to be fun and welcoming spaces, where children can develop and learn at their best. They are places where everyone is welcome, where children can grow and develop in a family-centred environment, and where parents are understood and supported.
We take great care to invest in the latest equipment and facilities to make therapy an enjoyable experience for the children who visit us. Sensory integration ensures calm and safe environments are available for our children with additional needs such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, DCD, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, and many other developmental delays and conditions. Our greatest asset, however, is our wonderful team of talented, passionate, dedicated clinicians and support staff.
Sensational Kids has already changed the lives of 10,000 children in need of our support, saving their families over €3 million in therapy fees and ensuring they have access to vital services when and where they need them.

Sensational Kids supports children of all ages and abilities, many of whom have additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, dyspraxia, dyslexia and many other developmental delays and conditions. We empower children and their families through a range of affordable, accessible and timely services, such as occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, play therapy and educational psychology. With 86,000 children currently on public waiting lists for these types of therapies, our subsidised services are a lifeline for families who would otherwise be waiting 3-4 years, losing the opportunity for timely intervention and better outcomes for their children.

All funds raised for Sensational Kids provide subsidised assessments and therapeutic interventions for children of all ages and abilities at our 4 Child Development Centres in Leinster (Kildare), Ulster (Clones), Munster (Clonakilty) & Connacht (Claremorris).
history
Established in 2007 by Kildare woman, Karen Leigh, Sensational Kids was born out of frustration with the lack of timely, accessible and affordable occupational therapy services for her own children. Having experienced lengthy public waiting lists and expensive private fees, Karen made it her mission to provide a better solution for families like hers.
Today, Sensational Kids is helping to bridge the gap between public and private services to make these crucial supports available to children and their families all around Ireland.
