Joan's Animal Rescue Centre

Joan's Animal Rescue Centre, RCN 20206386,  was established to help prevent cruelty to domestic and wild animals and to foster knowledge of the care of animals among the public in Ireland. Joan's Animal Rescue Centre provides treatment for injured and sick animals especially where the animals are feral or where the owner is unknown. We arrange for food, shelter and veterinary care for stray or feral animals and run a capture neuter and return program to reduce the growth of feral colonies and improve their general health.
We have a resident colony of up to sixty cats and nine dogs that cannot be rehomed, usually for medical reasons, and we help reduce and support feral colonies at other locations. We are also registered with the DAFM, registration number BPT200074C, as we rehome more than six animals a year.
We are run solely by volunteers and survive on donations. We have no employees and all of the money we raise goes towards the upkeep of the animals, veterinary bills and our Capture, Neuter and Return program.
