Kerry Mountain Rescue Association
Kerry Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) is an independent voluntary body comprising 35 full members, all unpaid volunteers. It is a registered charity and is the only provider of 24-hour search and rescue services to the numerous mountain users in the South-West of Ireland, covering the Dingle and Iveragh Peninsulas in Co. Kerry and the Beara Peninsula in Counties Kerry and Cork. The area boasts 15 of Irelands 20 highest peaks, including Carrauntoohil, Irelands highest, which attracts a huge volume of traffic each year.
