‘Gimme1000’ will be a virtual event where participants will be challenged to complete 1,000 reps of any exercise of their choice. The event will take place on Saturday, February 20th. The past year has been tough for all of us, not least on the fundraising efforts of two incredible charities in The Irish Cancer Society and Pieta House. These two charities have touched all our lives and the tireless, daily work they do has lasting effects on peoples lives across the country. Unfortunately, due to ongoing COVID restrictions they have been unable to run their flagship events, Daffodil Day and Darkness into Light, for the second year in a row. These two events are a vital source of funds to keep the essential services that they provide up and running. Now more than ever it is important to stay active to look after our physical and mental wellbeing. This is a great initiative to get active whilst raising much needed funds for two great causes.
