GALWAY LIONS CLUB SPONSORED SWIM FOR HOPESPACE

For over 20-years Lions Clubs in Galway have organised a sponsored swim, during the month of November. Individual club members and friends take to the water, to raise money for our causes.

This year we are supporting:

• HopeSpace Galway Children's Grief Service – a new local charity that is providing a free, one-to-one, accessible support service to children and young people from Galway City and County who are negatively impacted by grief, and their families. Since commenced services, HopeSpace is already providing very valuable support where none previously existed.
  

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

You can also join us and take the challenge and swim. Just decide on how you want to participate. You can swim in the sea or your local leisure centre:

• every day for November
• a set number of days i.e. every weekend
  
• a distance during November
  
• or as a group organise a Swim event during November

If you are swimming in the sea you must follow the guidelines provide by Water Safety Ireland. See their Open Swimming Brochure.
