Niall Donohue was a Kilbeacanty and Galway hurling star who hurled for Galway at Minor, u21 and senior, winning a U21 All Ireland a senior Leinster title in 2012. Niall died tragically in October 2013. His family, club, fellow players and the Galway county board have come together to arrange this hurling match in his memory.
The Leinster title winning Galway team of 2012 will play a 2017 All Ireland winning Galway on Saturday 10th December in Kilbeacanty GAA Club in Co Galway.
The match will involve some of the most famous names in hurling and will be raising funds for Jigsaw, the youth mental health charity and Niall’s home club, Kilbeacanty GAA.
