Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support House is a registered
charity that provides free support services to those affected by cancer, their
families and carers in the Kerry, North Cork, and West Kerry areas. The support
and services provided include counselling, play therapy, phone support,
complementary therapies, survivorship programmes, support groups, wellbeing
classes and courses. Services are delivered by a small staff team, contracted
professional counsellors, volunteer therapists and over 70 volunteers in the
areas of listening, gardening and fundraising.
Recovery Haven Kerry is recognised as a leader within the
Cancer Support Services sector, and this was reaffirmed in 2021 when the centre
became one of just 10 cancer support centres in Ireland to meet the National
Cancer Control Programme’s (NCCP) Good Practice Guidelines for Cancer Support
Centres.
Due to increased demand for our services, particularly in
the past two years, we are currently engaging in a major expansion project of
our existing building in Tralee, and the support of the Ring of Kerry Charity
Cycle will help hugely in offsetting some of the costs associated with that
project.
Thank you for supporting Recovery Haven Kerry Cancer Support
House in the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle 2023. If you have any queries or need
any support in your fundraising, please email [email protected] We
are very grateful for your support.
