Sleep Out Annual fundraising event - 3rd December 2022

Drogheda Homeless Aid is undertaking its Annual fundraising event - Sleep Out December 3rd  2022 . Our volunteers will be living for 12 hours on West St Drogheda, gaining the experience of the unhoused while raising awareness and funds for Drogheda Homeless Aid.  We need your help so that we can help others.  You can make a difference by being included in this  event.

Like so many charities Drogheda Homeless Aid was unable to fundraise during the pandemic and our last fundraising event was the Sleep Out of 2019. We  have relayed heavily on the goodwill of our community and had worked hard throughout the homeless and housing crisis to maintain and add capacity to our existing services.

We would be delighted if you or any of your team would support/sponsor this event. There are several ways in which you can help out:

  • Register to sleep out and raise funds  through sponsorship
  •  Be a volunteer and shake a bucket for us for 2 hours- bucket collection
  • Sponsor of the event

Register to Sleep Out for DHA and receive sponsorship cards – please email [email protected] with details of any interested participants.  The Sleep Out participants generally gather at 7pm at St. Peter’s Church West Street and stay out until the following morning 7th December at 7am.  Shelter is provided, as are refreshments. Contact us for more details of what’s entailed.

Any support no matter how small is very much appreciated.

In 2021 Drogheda Homeless Aid provided the following services and support:

  • Accommodation:79 men were accommodated in our emergency 22-bed hostel
