Each year in Ireland, an estimated 45,000 people receive a cancer diagnosis. More people in Ireland are being diagnosed with cancer than ever before. It's for this reason that we continue to harness the determination, compassion, and hope of Terry Fox to raise funds for cancer research.
After raising close to 30,000 Euros for world class cancer research being done in Ireland in 2022, we are back for another year. Join us at Herbert Park again on September 16th for the Terry Fox Run Ireland!
Hosted by the Irish Canadian Society and in tandem with the Embassy of Canada to Ireland and the Ireland Canada Business Association (ICBA), come out and help raise funds for cancer research, with all funds raised staying in Ireland and going directly to the Irish Cancer Society !

The Irish Cancer Society is a community of patients, survivors, volunteers, supporters, health & social care professionals and researchers. Together, they are transforming the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer, through their advocacy work, support services and research. They are working towards a future where nobody dies from cancer, and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world class treatment and support.
All funds raised through this event will support Irish cancer research, through the Irish Cancer Society.
At 18 years old, Canadian Terry Fox was diagnosed with bone cancer & told that his right leg would need to be amputated above the knee. Terry's personal experience & research inspired him to run across Canada to raise funds for cancer research. The only thing that could have stopped him from reaching the Pacific Ocean did. Cancer returned in his lungs and he was forced to stop after having run 5,373 kilometres. Before his death in 1981, Terry had achieved his once unimaginable goal of raising $1 from every Canadian and had set in motion the framework for an event, The Terry Fox Run, that would go on to ignite cancer research in Canada, raising more than $850 million and bringing hope and health to millions of Canadians.

Make sure you're around the registration table after the run as we'll be raffling off some great prizes yet again around 10:30am, including 2x air fare vouchers for anywhere in Canada, courtesy of Air Canada! (All raffle proceeds to go directly to the Irish Cancer Society).
