My dad set up this walk 9 years ago with two friends after my mum was initially diagnosed with cancer. Together we have raised over €120,000 over the last nine years for various charities based in the west of Ireland. This money has paid for support services and facilities required for cancer patients, alzheimers patients, disabled people, carers and lots of people who really need it. This year it is named after my beautiful mum who unfortunately lost her battle with cancer last summer.
