Support me in surviving one night on the streets of Galway this December for Homelessness
On Friday 2nd December I will be leaving the comfort of my own home for one night to sleep on Shop street for the ‘COPE Galway Sleep Out’ to raise funds for COPE Galway’s Homeless services. Whilst you are tucked up in bed I will be sleeping on the ground in Galway’s bitter cold winter weather with just a sleeping bag and a cup of soup.
When many of us think of homelessness we think of people we see sleeping rough in doorways and on the street. This is only part of a much greater issue. There are families, single men and women living in unsuitable, insecure and temporary accommodation all over Galway. In the past year COPE Galway has supported 659 single men and women and their 369 children affected by homelessness in Galway.
I’ve signed up for the COPE Galway Sleep Out to support COPE Galway and play my part in helping to prevent homelessness in Galway.
You can play your part by sponsoring me now and helping me reach my target of €3,000.
We have decided to support COPE this year instead of Christmas presents.
Well done declan it is a very worthy cause
