This summer, we are undertaking the journey of a lifetime - we will be driving a banged up, old car from Galway to Ulan-Ude, Russia. Our journey will take us across seas, deserts, and mountain ranges and probably a few questionable border control checkpoints. We will drive through Ireland, England, France, Belgium, Netherland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and Russia (again) covering approximately 14,000km. The Mongol Rally is not a race, it’s an adventure and if you don't get lost or break down, you're doing it wrong.
We’re not doing this because we’ve lost our minds (..well, we may have) but this is all being done for charity. At age 15 my friend lost her battle with cystic fibrosis. This year is the 10th anniversary of her passing so, we are undertaking this journey to remember her and raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
