Anyone who knows me, should know that I'm not a sporty person, never have been. So, to take on more than 100 yards of running, never mind 26.2 miles is a minor miracle. I have been an avid supporter of the Dublin Marathon ever since being inspired watching my amazing brother cross the finish line some years ago. Since then I have watched some of my fantastic friends and even a colleague or two take on the mammoth challenge, and almost burst with pride when I got to see them on Merrion Row with their finishers medals. This year, after many years of procrastination I am determined that I am going to give it a bash. I'm using the opportunity to raise much needed funds for two charities: Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, a charity close to my families heart, and First Light on behalf of a very dear friend of mine who suffered a tragic loss late last year. I'll update the page throughout the training process, and after each stage of the SSE Race Series. So, please if you can - give a little something towards the cause, and lend me your support to help me cross that line - I'm slow as a tortoise but hopefully I can go the distance with your help.
