A gang of us from Perrigo, Brendan O'Keeffe, Paul Hatton, Alan Harnett, Jen Valentine, Amanda Quinn & Ollie Higgins are taking part in a “Tough Mudder” challenge this summer in Oldcastle Co Meath. I have decided to try and raise some much needed funds for a charity called Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland (AADI). This is a charity which trains and supplies assistance dogs to children with Autism. I have seen first hand the difference these wonderful dogs make in the lives of not just the kids themselves but to everyone in the family. The charity is totally reliant on fundraising as they receive zero support from the state. Each dog takes two years to train with a cost of €15,000 per animal!.
Also surely seeing the 6 of us covered in mud running around a field must be worth a bob or two!!!.
Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland was founded in 2010 as a primary service, training and placing assistance dogs to children on the autism spectrum who are a flight risk. We are a National Childrens' charity (CHY 19293) with our headquarters in Little Island, Co CorkOur charity provides a valuable service that has life changing effects for both the children on the spectrum and their families.We provide our dogs free of charge but each dog costs us in the region of €25,000 to train and with no gov
