On 2nd November 2017 we lost our little Baby Lucy. To say it is getting easier as time passes by would be a lie. The Heartbreak and Devastation is just as hard now as it ever was. Living with the knowledge that I am a Daddy to a little girl that I will never get to hold or see grow up makes even the most normal everyday task almost impossible. Over the last 8 months we have gotten a lot of support from Feileacain (The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland). Feileacain is an amazing Charity that most people don’t even know exists. They provide so many supports and services to anyone affected by the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after. It was formed by a group of bereaved parents who supported each other after the death of their own babies and have now come together to formally offer support to other parents and families who find themselves in a similar situation. I have decided to run 4 races over the next few months to raise funds for Feileacain in memory of my Baby Lucy. The races are the South Dublin 10km on 22nd July, The Frank Duffy 10mile on the 2nd September, The Dublin Half Marathon on the 22nd September and the Galway Bay Half Marathon on the 6th October. I am asking anyone who can support me to follow the link to my Idonate page. All donations will go to help Feileacain provide support to Parents who find themselves living this nightmare. Thank you so much.

About the Cause
Féileacáin (Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Support)
Why the name FéileacáinA Butterfly lights besides us like a sunbeam …Many of the ancient civilizations believed that butterflies were symbols of the human soul, and in Irish mythology the butterflies, or ‘Féileacáin’, are said to be the spirits of the departed who return to visit their favorite place and their loved ones to reassure them that they are alright.
