Purple House is a charity that provides cancer support services and facilities free of charge to people of all ages affected by cancer in Ireland. The work that Purple House do is quite amazing with the support that they offer people being second to none and it is a charity that is close to me as my own mother passed away from cancer.
So, for this special charity I have decided for my sins to fundraise for them and spend a week cycling 1225 KM the length and breadth of Ireland, leaving Bray. Co. Wicklow on two wheels and getting off the bike at different stages to hike up and down on two feet the four highest peaks in Ireland - Lugnaquilla, Wicklow, 925 m (3,035 ft); Carraountoohil, Kerry, 1,038 metres (3,406 feet); Mweelrea, Mayo, 814 m (2,671 ft); Slieve Donard, Down, 850 metres (2,790 ft).
Any donations that you make will go directly to a very worthy charity, Purple House who directly impact the people they care for on a daily basis.
Your support is very much appreciated.
Thank you very much, Michael
