IWA's Rehabilitative Training programme is a two-year QQI accredited life skills programme for people with physical disability with a strong focus on developing life skills and working towards personal goals.
The programme aims to support learners to acquire new skills, gain confidence, and become more independent in daily life. It is a stepping stone towards each individual's future goals and choices, such as progressing to further education, gaining work experience, or becoming more active in their communities.
Learners can choose to take part in a range of group workshops and activities including Communications, Computer Skills, Everyday Maths and Money Management, Cookery, Career Preparation, Personal Development, and Work Experience.
In addition to workshops, each learner receives one-to-one support through IWA's Enhanced Person Centred Process. Each individual is facilitated to identify their personal goals and to make decisions about how to best achieve them.
Any funds raised will directly benefit the learners in the RTU.
