M- Ha!
S- I might sign up as I’m a big fan of Peter Mc Verry - he does great work.
M- Ok, count me in!
This is how all this started, it only took 2 crazy friends and cycling buddies and a "crazy" idea: 135km in 1 day!
After that, a good few hours on the bike going up and down Howth and Killiney Hill, several swims to cool down and the view of the amazing Dublin coastline. It was worth it already!
If you feel like donating, you know what to do.
TRAINING UPDATE August 16th
As much as we loved climbing Howth and Killiney Hill, we are expanding our training horizons!
A return trip to Blessington with special effects included (i.e. lashing rain) was a great training. With all the excitement we forgot to take pics, will do next time!
Next challenges include:
- Mullingar-Athlone-Athlone in 1 day, 84 km, the longest we've cycled so far.
- Achill Island cycle, route to be determined
We will keep you posted, and thanks again for all the contributions, it is so encouraging
WE DID IT September 15 2018
we did it! It took us just over 9 hours and we came last but we don’t mind - we are so proud of ourselves for completing it. Big thanks to Sheila (in the middle of our new photo) for all her encouragement and support. Also big thanks to Pat and Toni from PMV trust who got us over the line. The page is still open for another month so thanks to everyone who has donated so far and if anyone would like to make a donation now, it’s not too late 😀
