Over the years, as a Urologist, I have inevitably had some patients whose last days were spent in a Hospice. I witnessed the development of the expanded role of Palliative Medicine/Care (in hospital, home and hospice) and appreciated and learnt from this wonderful group of professionals how working together sensitively and empathically the often very difficult transition from living to dying can be facilitated. I've chosen to fundraise for The Irish Hospice Foundation . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
