My brother Diarmuid is turning 50 this year and as a thanks for the help that the Cope foundation charity has given him throughout the year I am planning to hike the sacred valley and Machu Picchu in Peru to raise funds. The Cope Foundation is a non-profit organisation which supports over 2,300 children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism. Cope has been instrumental in giving Diarmuid life skills and filling his day with purpose and rewarding activities.
