Hi, you may have seen me along with a few more crazy ladies pounding the roads of Leitrim, Kilnadeema, Bullaun, Loughrea, Craughwell, Kilreekle etc etc, the reason being we are training for the 2019 KBC Dublin City Marathon (26.2miles/42km!!!) taking place on the 27th of October. While we are fortunate to be able to do so, there are some people who unfortunately are not. So we decided as a group to fundraise for a charity close to our hearts which is the East Galway & Midlands Cancer support centre based in Ballinasloe. Many of us have lost loved ones or know someone either going through treatment for Cancer or that has been through treatment and this centre provides much needed therapies & gives support to them and also to their families. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
