Team Emmie is swimming in the Kingdom of Bahrain to raise funds for a very important cancer care charity in the West of Ireland. Lloydy’s mom, Emmie Lloyd, past away in November 2015 and used and appreciated the Cancer Care West services. The thought about doing the bay swim hasn't been possible because we live abroad...until now! This year, seeing as it is virtual, Lloydy and I will complete the 13kms during the month of August here in the Middle East. Your support is very much appreciated.
Cancer Care West is the west of Ireland cancer charity dedicated to supporting those whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our aim is to enhance patient care and well being and to provide supports to cancer patients and their families during and after their treatment.We aim to provide a holistic service that complements medical treatment through the provision of residential accommodation and cancer support services.
