On Sunday October 02nd, 2022, I will be taking part in the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon in Minneapolis in memory of my late Dad and in support of the Galway Hospice Foundation.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my memorial page for My Father, Michael who passed away after a courageous battle with Leukaemia (Blood cancer) in 2017; a battle he fought with great determination and strength. Dad, throughout his illness, was provided with support and kindness by a great team of nurses who were part of the Palliative care team at the Galway Hospice, and were on hand to guide, offer support and advice from initial diagnosis and until his final days. This support was offered in a kind, caring and professional manner and helped Dad immensely through the final journey to his perpetual finish line. Because of the support shown to Dad, I've chosen to fundraise for Galway Hospice Foundation. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.

Galway Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation. It was established in 1986 when a group of local doctors and nurses came together with a view to developing hospice services for the people of Galway city and county, as no such services existed there at the time.
