Crohn's and Colitis Ireland is the only support group for people who are living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis in Ireland. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis fall under the umbrella of Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD (not to be confused with IBS which stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome). More than 40,000 people are living with IBD in Ireland. Both diseases cause ulceration of the digestive tract. Crohn's Disease can affect any part of the gastrointesti
