I'm taking part in the Plant the Planet Games. This November I will be travelling to Kenya with 50+ inter-county GAA players from all over Ireland as part of a Warriors for Humanity project.
Our goal is to plant one million trees in Africa in partnership with Self Help Africa and we have all committed to raising €10,000 each to contribute to our collective goal.
Each tree we plant will represent a livelihood for an African family by providing a sustainable source of income. The planting of trees will also help to combat climate change by removing large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere.
By achieving our goal we hope that the impact of our work will be felt for many years, benefitting future generations of African communities and ultimately, leaving a legacy we can all be proud of.
Please help us by donating whatever you can. All funds raised go directly to Self Help Africa and are greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support,
Matt O'Hanlon - Wexford Hurler & Gaelic Players Association
