Hi all,

just to share a brief story behind my reason for this fundraising for let's get talking, iv been doing my degree in counselling & Psychotherapy it's been the most amazing and rewarding year and a half I started with my certificate and now I am a year into my Degree studying this has helped me so much on my own journey through my life, iv met amazing friends and iv learned alot about myself too. My goal is to complete my Degree in counselling and psychothapeutic studies and one day help others through difficult times in their life..

I genuinely believe talking is therapy, this is one thing I even laugh at when I say it as anyone who knows me knows I'd talk to the wall and I am known for a podcast what's app voice note 😊, iv had the hardest 5 years of my life I lost my husband 5 years ago and i was in a very bad place in my life and also trying to raise 4 children who are grieving too, I feel by opening up along the way I met so many people also in my shoes and it helped me not feel so alone. Iv had to have alot of help along the way, I am a stronger person in alot of ways although iv been left with scars forever, I never imagined I'd be were I am now doing my own degree and trying my hardest to give my children a life they deserve and a mammy who's learned how to smile again, I have and will always have my bad days, iv learned to cope with them in a better way, I carry my husband through life with us and keep him in our hearts. I am so greatfull for the people who stood by me my amazing family and friends and my kids who keep me going each day, iv an amazing partner now who I am so very greatfull for who is so supportive of our life too.. I carry a sadness and loss in me but I am also able to smile and enjoy things in life too, and I feel that's what my husband would want for us, it's a journey that's been put in my hands for life but I'm learning ways to cope.

Life has been a challenge and when I spoke to let's get talking and was asked about doing the Abseil from croke Park I was so excited, I wanted to challenge myself to it, I will be nervous but iv jumped from a plane so I'm sure I can do this 😊 lol, the Abseil will be on the 3rd of June I think this was a sign from my late husband Mark as his 5 year anniversary is on the 2nd of June, all donations will be open ontil June 17th which is also his 40th birthday. I hope I can raise some needed funds for let's get talking counselling service this is a non profit counselling service and every penny helps them to help another person walk in their doors. We will all face times we find life a struggle and get overwhelmed, been with a trained counselling Psychotherapist can help you deal with life in a healthier way.

I am so excited to do this Abseil with some of the counsellors from let's get talking, please help me raise as much as I can i would be so greatfull.
