I've chosen to fundraise for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
In March 2015 I was involved in a Road Traffic Accident and suffered multiple injuries to include a massive brain injury. I spent close to 11 months in various hospitals and it was deemed unlikely that i would ever walk again by the medics who were treating me. I persevered through good and bad times and after almost two long years in a wheelchair I began to mobalise independently once again.
I am completing this event to give hope to people in a similar situation and to aid their recovery by raising vital funds for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. Your money will assist the rehabilitation process of people who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is Irelands leading provider in community based neuro-rehabilitation for people who have suffered an acquired brain injury. An acquired brain injury (ABI) can be caused by a road accident, assault, fall, viral infection, aneurysm, anoxia, brain haemorrhage, stroke or tumour. Approximately 10-13,000 people suffer from a head injury in Ireland each year and face a dramatically altered life thereafter. People with ABI progress at different rates, and may need to acces
