After several attempts to get a ballot place and pandemic related postponements, I am finally running the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2023. I’ve always enjoyed supporting the runners on Marathon day in London and running the London Marathon has long been a goal of mine so I am delighted to finally get my chance. What I have learnt since starting this journey is that I am clearly not built for marathon running so this will be my first (and last!) marathon. 

I've chosen to use this opportunity to fundraise for ALONE. ALONE is an organisation that enables older people to age at home. ALONE work with all older people, including those who are lonely, isolated, frail or ill, homeless, living in poverty, or are facing other difficulties. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
