My Uncle Jim was a great fund-raiser. He was involved in many campaigns to support GAA projects and to promote the Irish language. He died of Pancreatic Cancer in June 2016.For him and for the many others that have left us too soon, I'm taking part in Breakthrough Cancer Research - Camino Ingles, to fundraise for Breakthrough Cancer Research .
My Dad, Vin, had hoped to walk the Camino with my mum and their friends, but he was too unwell to make the trip. He died less than 2 months after his brother, Jim. I'm walking for him too.
There are so many people that I will be thinking of on this walk. I am also walking for all the fighters and survivors. Mavourneen, Mum, Nicola, Ada, my grandmother who beat cancer twice in her lifetime, to name but a few. Please donate whatever you can by clicking the Donate button. Please share my page on your socials. Many Thanks for your support. Read more about Breakthrough Cancer Research - Camino Ingles

About the Cause
Breakthrough Cancer Research
Breakthrough Cancer Research funds the efficient and effective development of new treatments for cancer. We work to significantly impact the number of people who can survive this disease. Research programmes funded by Breakthrough Cancer Research must focus on translating lab discoveries into new treatment opportunities. To this end we work closely with clinicians in practice all over Ireland so that our research is targeted at finding new options for poor prognosis and incurable cancers.
