Hi I’m May- I’m taking part in the RunKillarney half marathon on May 13th as well as the Cork City Full Marathon on June 4th, running is an enjoyable part of my life and I’m so grateful to everyone who donated on my previous fundraiser for the CORK ARC CANCER SUPPORT HOUSE, I’m delighted to continue to be able to run & to fundraise for this wonderful charity based here in Cork,
CORK ARC support house provides an incredible range of services, supports & therapies, for free, to our community, available to families going through cancer. They have a big range of multidisciplinary professionals who provide things such as counselling, breast cancer services, practical support & many complementary therapies like massage therapy, art therapy, fitness classes, walking groups. They have centres in both Bantry and Cork City.
Cancer has sadly touched so many of us, almost every family has had to deal with its impact, in 2017 I lost my mother to advanced bowel cancer and more recently my auntie in 2021. Cork Arc were a huge support to myself and my mother, Isobel, she enjoyed being active and creative, she loved the art therapy that Cork Arc provided and her quality of life post terminal diagnosis were of extreme value to us.
Please donate/support whatever you can, I’ll be running for the Cork Arc and in my mum’s memory again on May 13th and on June 4th,
Thank you so much for reading!
