Hello! My name is Kevin Fitzgerald and I live in South Cork, Ireland. I have decided to run the Cork half marathon and participate in A Splash a Day in May with the aim of raising money for the Irish Cancer Society.

Unfortunately cancer is a disease that affects nearly every family in Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society is a charity that is close to my heart as my dad passed away from a battle with cancer in 2021. After some thought of what I could do to help, I was drawn to sports as it was what my dad and I bonded over the most. It is then I decided to do A Splash a Day in May and participate in the Cork half marathon this year, 2023.

The Irish Cancer Society is a great charity and any donations would be greatly appreciated. I will keep you updated with my journey and the results of the fundraiser.
