I’m on the run for Cappagh Kids! Yes, I’m taking to the streets on the 29th of October to run the Dublin Marathon for a cause close to my heart. My daughter experienced a limb deficit following a sepsis infection when she was just 1. At the age of 5, she underwent her first limb lengthening surgery at Cappagh Kids, and as she grows, she’ll need further lengthening procedures.
I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work and support they provide for children going through this grueling treatment. Therefore, it's important I give something back to this incredible foundation so they can treat more patients and continue to support young patients. So, on that note, any donations, big or small, are most welcome.
Despite a concerning lack of training, I’ve let my daughter pick out a fancy-dress costume to run in to add to the challenge. I’ll post a picture in costume the morning of, so if you’re planning to spectate you can keep an eye out for the runaway patient. All cheers / high fives welcomed! I can't take donations on the day, but you can scan the QR or click the link below so young children, in need, can look forward to a brighter future.
Many thanks
Richie
