The Galway Cycle is now into its 32nd year and is going stronger then ever! Over the past 30 years over €1,000,000 euro has been raised for various Irish charities! Participating cyclists travel at a speed of approximately 25 km/h from Maynooth to Galway from 5th April to 7th April 2024 all in aid of the 2024 chosen children's charity Little Blue Heroes Foundation who support families in Ireland who have children with serious illnesses.
Why do this? – Two reasons:
To set a challenge large enough that would entice people to sponsor us simply because of what would be involved
To choose a deserving “Children’s Charity” (in Ireland) that would benefit from the much needed funds that we would raise

Little Blue Heroes Foundation
At any one time, there are 1,400 critically ill children in Ireland with an additional 400 seriously ill children diagnosed each year. Through the normal community engagement duties of local Gardaí they are often in a position to identify families with children that have serious illness in their own Districts who require assistance.
