Myself and Louise appreciate your visit to our fundraising page.
Every penny raised goes directly to North West Hospice. No money collected go to cover any of our expenses.
We've chosen to raise funds for North West Hospice as it’s a great charity close to many people’s hearts, and all funds raised will go directly to the hospice.
Keep an eye on us as we’ll be sharing loads of pictures of our 300km Camino starting 20 May and arriving in Santiago on 2 June.
If you’re wondering what the Camino is all about, it is a famous route.
The Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James, is a renowned pilgrimage route with deep historical and spiritual significance. Originating in the Middle Ages, it leads to the Saint James the Great shrine in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. While it has traditionally been a Christian pilgrimage, the Camino has evolved into a broader symbol of self-discovery, reflection, and personal growth.
Thousands of people from all walks of life embark on this journey for various reasons—spiritual, cultural, or simply the desire for adventure. The route, marked by its iconic scallop shell, stretches across Europe.
Pilgrims are from all over the world and are known as "peregrines," they encounter stunning landscapes, historic towns, and centuries-old traditions.
The Camino is more than a path to a destination; it's a journey. Each person finds their meaning in the miles they walk.
We hope you can help us by donating whatever you can.
Many thanks for your support.
