Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page on iDonate.ie I'm taking part in 100 Miles in October for Nurses for Night Care. I've chosen to fundraise for Irish Hospice Foundation. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
I know first hand how important the support of a night nurse is to a patient and their care team. Caring for my husband Kristian in his final months, I greatly appreciated the support a night nurse could provide 1. The patient is kept comfortable during the night 2. The carer(s) who are often overlooked have the opportunity to sleep through the night and recharge. Having had some support like this, I recognised this care type is a crucial one, and I promised myself in the future, I would support initiatives that funded and offered this much needed care to those in need. Here I am now 3 years+ on from our own story ready to show up and take on this challenge and raise funds to show my support.
