We've chosen to fundraise for Purple House Cancer Support. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause very close to our hearts. It is 10 years since our wonderful friend Audrey passed away on 16th May and as her birthday was also in May, a Dip in May seemed appropriate. At that time Veronica and all the team at Purple House were an amazing support to Michele, in understanding how and where she could help Auds and her family. 

Since then sadly other good friends have passed away after a cancer diagnosis and each time Purple House have been phenomenal in their support to these families. 

We each have other friends who have received a cancer diagnosis and have come through post-treatment and the support and benefits provided to them by Purple House are endless. From lifts to and from hospital appointments, Advice with admin paperwork, the endless forms that are needed post-diagnosis, from Support and Counselling, therapies such as Reflexology, Physiotherapy, a Gymnasium, Children and Teenager youth groups and therapy sessions to deal with a family member's diagnosis. Yoga, Pilates, Choirs, Gardening, Mens Groups, the list is endless. It's all provided by the amazing people who are Purple House.

Just after Christmas a close friend of ours passed away after living with her Cancer Diagnosis for a few years. Roisin was one of lifes amazing fundraisers, always organising something and always supporting a massive network of friends. Roisin wrote a poem for us all in her final weeks and we share it here, this is why we are crazy enough to Dip In May, because both Auds and Roisin would be there in the water, splashing with us and most certainly turning this Dip in May into a HUGE event. 

So please from both David and I, would you help us to raise funds to share these two amazing ladies' love, with others who may need to use a Cancer Support Group like Purple House.
