Croi Fighting Heart Disease & Stroke
Croí is a registered charity established in Galway in 1985, with its main aim to lead the fight against heart disease and stroke, with a special focus on the West of Ireland. Over the years, Croí has impacted positively at virtually every level of cardiac care in the West, from pre-hospital to post-hospital recovery and rehabilitation to providing support services to patients and their family members.
The challenges facing people living with heart disease and stroke are now greater than any that have come before. The risk of serious complications with COVID-19 is higher for people living with heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes or obesity. In addition, COVID-19 has disrupted hospital and health support services, leaving patients vulnerable; or worse, leaving heart disease and stroke undiagnosed!
Croi depend totally on voluntary effort and support - all our activities are funded entirely from the proceeds of fundraising events, voluntary contributions, donations and philanthropic support. Croí has always worked tirelessly to respond to the needs of those living with cardiovascular disease and your support will help us to continue to do that during this crisis!
