When my dad was young, he and a friend made their way (mostly on foot we believe) from Clonmel to Cork to watch Denis Law's Manchester United play Cork in a pre-season friendly. They then found somewhere just outside Glanmire to rest their head for the night before setting off back home in the early morning. Having lost our Dad to cancer last August and in keeping with his love of walking, the challenge is set to walk the 100 Kms+ from Clonmel to Cork over 2-3 days in July 2018. I will be joined by my brother Jimmy for the second day of the walk and friends will walk some of the steps along the way also. . All monies raised both on and offline will be donated to the South Tipperary Hospice Movement.
