<p>The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle is a non-profit organisation of everyday people who come together every year to make a powerful difference to the lives Of thousands Of people in need across our local communities.</p><p>The story began in 1982 when a group from Killarney had an idea – to cycle the 170km ‘Ring of Kerry’ to raise money for charity and that first cycle had 46 entrants. Today, the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle brings together thousands of cyclists each year, making it Ireland’s largest one-day charity cycle event.</p><p>Since 1982 almost €16million for 160 charity organisations has been raised through the support of participating cyclists, volunteers, local communities and our many corporate sponsors & partners.</p><p>For a second year in a row, we must hold off hosting the annual Ring Charity Cycle and whilst we are hugely disappointed not to greet you in person at the finish line on the 3rd of July we would like to encourage you to take part in another way! <br></p><p>For the charities we aim to fundraise on behalf of, COVID19 and this pandemic has both added pressure for the demand on their services and also restricted their ability to finance those services – now more than ever they need us to be inventive and adapt to continue to support them. <br></p>
