3 years ago on the Hill of Tara, I met a 15 year old girl who shaved her hair for Cancer. Her aunt had had it and she wanted to show support some how. I thought it was such an amazing generous thing to do and dreamed of doing my own fundraiser. With my teacher's help I started looking into doing a fundraiser for a children's hospital and got as far as phoning them and getting a fundraiser pack. Sadly I had to move schools so my dream was put on hold. Plus my mom wasn't convinced I was ready to cut my hair so short. Recently my little friend Kathleen showed me that if you can dream it you can achieve it! So I asked my mom again. She finally agreed. I contacted the Rapunzel Foundation and have arranged to send my hair to them to help make a wig for a Cancer patient! I then searched for a charity to align with and came across the Childhood Cancer Foundation. They do such great work to spread awareness and show support. Currently they have 3 main aims:- Play Services at St.John's Paediatric Cancer Day Unit Medical Research into Complimentary therapies for children in active treatment Beads of Courage an arts in medicine Programme!
I would so love your help in achieving my big dream! It would be the best birthday present ever!
Thank you for reading my page and for your generous support! Together we really can be the changes we wish to see!
