Fortune Automotive is an award winning, independent service & repair garage based in Gorey, Co. Wexford. 5 years ago, on the 8th of April, we first opened our doors. We have grown significantly since then and have met so many great people along the way. We have decided to mark our 5 year anniversary by doing a skydive and raising money for some great causes while we're at it. We have chosen most of these charities/organisations as we have personal ties to them. We hope they benefit greatly from this and we aim to raise as much as possible! We are fundraising for 5 different charities/organisations. 

The funds raised will be split equally between them (automatically through the idonate platform). Everything we raise here will be going directly to them. We are covering the cost of the skydive and any other costs associated!

Below we have information on each, taken from their respective websites:

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland and works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland advocates, empowers and champions the rights of people living with dementia and their communities to quality support and services.

BUMBLEance is Ireland’s Children’s Ambulance Service. As the world’s first interactive ambulance purposefully designed for children, BUMBLEance has the capacity to operate the latest medical equipment, ensuring children have access to access medical care, regardless of location or resources.Providing roughly 2,000 trips per year and travelling a combined 500,000 kilometres, BUMBLEance supports children in the care of any children’s hospital, providing medical transport for those with any and all medical needs. Our services exist to reduce financial hardship on families, remove the stress associated with organising regular medical transport and, most importantly, provide a safe, secure and fun environment for Ireland’s youngest patients.

Ballygarrett Réalt na Mara GAA club. In 1982 the old clubs of Réalt na Mara and Ballygarrett amalgamated to form the present-day club. We are a strong dual club, fielding teams adult & underage in Hurling, Gaelic Football, Camogie & Ladies Football. Our goal is to encourage all members of the community to participate in GAA related activities regardless of their background.  To reward commitment and participation at all ages and provide encouragement and involvement to players of all abilities, whilst ensuring a safe and protective environment for children.

Founded in 1974, Meals On Wheels Gorey & Courtown is a community based volunteer group providing an essential service which aims to support independent living through nutritional and social support. It enables elderly or assisted needs individuals who require the service to maintain good health and independent living in their own homes, by providing nutritious meals, a wellnesss check and social interaction. The service is a critical component of the continuum of care services that enable older people to remain living in the community or to return to their own homes after hospitalisation.

The NWSPCA is a not for profit organisation and a dedicated animal charity, based in Gorey, County Wexford. The Charity is run entirely by volunteers who give their time to provide services such as rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned or neglected animals. We also take in unwanted animals and provide veterinary care and shelter for them until they go to their new homes. Our cat team also Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) community cats in the Wexford region and beyond.

As you can see, all 5 of the above have great importance in Ireland and indeed our community, without which we would be at a significant loss. We definitely think they're worth jumping out of a plane for anyway :) and we hope you agree!

So please, give what you can. The minimum amount on idonate is €2. You can donate directly here, you can tap your card/phone in our office (or wherever you may see us!) or you can give cash and we'll add it to the fundraiser on your behalf!
