I am part of a group of Irish volunteers are travelling to Hanoi, Vietnam for the first Operation Walk Ireland in May 2017. The aim is to aid with over 60 joint replacements, knee and hip operations on patients who would not otherwise have access to this life changing surgery. Also to provide education and surprised training to local doctors, nurses and physiotherapists and allied healthcare professionals. I am participating as non-medical volunteer on the team. Each individual travelling must raise €1500 to cover the costs of travelling and accommodation.
