Celtic Challenge 2019 - Row to Wales in aid of the RNLI and St.Michael's Rowing Club

Type of Event : Adventure Race
Where : Dublin, Dun Laoghaire
When : 3rd May 2019
Description :

St. Michael’s Rowing Club, Dun Laoghaire will be competing in a gruelling non-stop rowing race across the Irish Sea.  Known as the Celtic Challenge, the race sets off from Arklow, Co. Wicklow with the finishing line in Aberystwyth, Wales. At 150km, this relay race is billed as the longest true rowing race in the world. Our two twelve person crews (one women and one mixed) will be battling the elements, seasickness and exhaustion to raise funds for our club and the RNLI.

The race will take place over the May bank holiday weekend (28th April to 1st May). We need your support to raise funds for the courageous men and women of the RNLI and for vital club equipment.

Although all monies will be directed to St. Michael's Rowing Club initially - rest assured that every euro that you sponsor will be split evenly between the RNLI and the club. All personal costs are covered by each individual crew member.
