Dungarvan Cycle Group take on Mizen to Malin Challenge for Breakthrough Cancer Research

On the 23rd August 2023,  a group of local Dungarvan cyclists are going to cycle  600km from Mizen to Malin over three and a half days.

Our Group consists of 12 cyclists  and a support team, all of us Dungarvan locals. 

Cancer has touched the lives of many of our friends and families and our aim is to raise awareness and support Breakthrough Cancer Research's aim to Make More Survivors.

Breakthrough Cancer Research  is a Cork based medical research charity focused on cancer. They focus on funding world class cancer research into poor prognosis cancers, which are poorly served by current treatment. They facilitate collaboration between scientists and clinicians across Ireland and Internationally. Accelerating the translation of lab discoveries into new effective treatments for people with poor prognosis cancers.

Breakthrough Cancer Research’s mission is “100% survival for 100% of cancers” which is why it is a mission is so close to our heart.
