My mother, Brigid McBride sadly passed away in March of this year. She sadly suffered from Motor Neurone Disease having had symptoms from August last year. After being diagnosed in January she only had a short time with this awful disease and for that we are thankful as a family. I'm taking part in Dublin City Marathon 2022 for the IMNDA on Sunday 30th of October 2022. I've chosen to fundraise for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association as the support they gave to my family will always be in my heart. The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by this terminal condition. The Association cannot slow the progression of MND or change the outcome but we can alleviate the feelings of isolation and frustration.
