Join us to raise money and awareness for four incredible cancer charities. We are grateful to these charities which offer invaluable support and treatment to sufferers of blood cancers, amongst others, which affect so many families and support them on the journey towards life-saving bone marrow transplants.
We will be lacing up our boots to walk from Ireland to England - between The Bone Marrow & Leukaemia Trust in Dublin to Anthony Nolan in Nottingham, via the ARC Cancer Support Services and the Irish Cancer Society offices in Dublin. Our hike will take us across the Pennines through the Peak District down into Nottingham.
Our mission is twofold: to raise awareness about the importance of bone marrow donation and to try and raise a whopping Euro 100,000 to help the charities continue to do their amazing work. But we can’t do it alone. Your donation, no matter the size, fuels our steps and amplifies our message.
Whether you know us personally or not, your support matters. Together, let’s turn miles into miracles and spread the word about the life-saving gift of bone marrow donation.
We understand times are hard right now with cost of living crisis so if you find yourself in the position of wanting to help but not being able to donate money at this time, you can still help!…by learning what is involved in being a Bone Marrow / Stem Cell Donor and, if it’s right for you, signing up to the register, and spreading the word about the potential to save someone's life. See links at end of post for how to learn more.
All online idonate.ie donations here will be split evenly between the three Irish Charities. We are also trying to raise funds for the Anthony Nolan charity in the UK, the world's first Stem Cell Register. We would be grateful for anyone willing to make a donation to Anthony Nolan to do it via the justgiving page here:
