John Joyce, Shane Fitzgerald, Stephen O’Toole and Sean Nee are getting off their couches to support people with physical disabilities and to raise much needed funds and awareness for Irish Wheelchair Association.
Together they are taking on the challenge of carrying a couch for 5k. The idea originated from the popular running concept of couch to 5k.
The Couch Carry will take place on Saturday May 30, finishing at Cashel Community Centre at 6.30pm having commenced 5km’s away on the main Cashel road.
The priority of Irish Wheelchair Association is to deliver care and support for people with physical disabilities in their homes and communities, this has not changed during COVID-19 but their ability to fundraise has been dramatically affected.
THE BIG DAY IN MAY FOR IWA is a fundraising drive that is asking the general public to get involved in fundraising events all over the country. We really appreciate any support you could lend to our fundraiser to support this very worthwhile organisation.
