**UPDATE 28/03/2024** Thank you to every single person who has donated so far.  We are humbled by the kindness of family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances and strangers.  We said goodbye to our beautiful Lorraine yesterday.  It was  the hardest day of our lives but we gave her a day she deserved filled with love.  You will notice we have a new name and are delighted to confirm that the Lorraine & Mary Keller Ball will go ahead later in the year.  We are working on dates at the moment and will be in touch as soon as we have one confirmed.  In the meantime, we would be delighted if you could continue to share the word about our idonate page.  Thank you from all the Keller Family - Much Love ❤

**UPDATE** On Friday 22nd of March, we lost our beautiful Lorraine to lung cancer. Lorraine had really encouraged us to push our fundraising efforts this year so we have powered on with her strength. We have had to postpone the ball for now but we are determined to surpass our fundraising target in Lorraine’s memory. 

Lorraine and Mam are together again watching over us all. 💖

For the eleventh year, my family will be hosting a black-tie ball in memory of my Grandmother - Mary Keller - who battled through seven years of breast cancer and, eventually, lost the good fight.

 

Year one we fund-raised for the Marie Keating Foundation. Thankfully, my Nana was lucky enough to experience the very first ball herself back in 2008, but sadly, she passed away later that year. We made in excess of €25k for Marie Keating that year and decided to try make the ball into an annual event in my Grandmother’s memory.

Years two to eight we fund-raised for St Francis Hospice who looked after my Grandmother better than anyone could ever realise at the latter end of her battle. St Francis Hospice holds a special place in our hearts and I don’t think there are many families out there who haven’t had to rely on this wonderful service at some stage or another.

Years nine and ten, we fundraised for The LauraLynn Foundation in my Grandmother’s name. Children were such an important part of her life and we think that raising much needed funds for this more than deserving charity was perfectly apt in her memory.

 

Since the beginning of our fundraising journey, we have raised more than €150k across our chosen charities. Turnout on the night is usually between 300 and 350 people all with one aim - to raise as much money as possible.

After hosting 10 massively successful events between 2008 and 2017, the main organiser, my Uncle Ciaran Keller, decided it was time to retire his tuxedo and rest content in the fact that he had done his bit for raising funds and awareness for these wonderful charities. However, now Ciaran has decided it's time to revive this wonderful fundraising event for two charities that are extremely close to his own and his family's hearts since April 2022.

And so, we go again - The 11th Annual Mary Keller Ball will take place back where it all started in 2008, The Pillo Hotel, Ashbourne. On March 23rd, we will eat and drink and dance and raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.

I understand that times are hard for all of us these days but any donation no matter how small will be a huge help towards reaching our target on the night.
