Cancer Care West is a charity very close to our hearts and this year their major annual fundraiser has been cancelled due to COVID. Leaving a €100,000 shortfall in funding. This year I’m going to attempt to swim 13km open water in Galway bay over the course of August. This is a new format of the event and will hopefully go some way towards keeping vital services running. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Since this week is the first time I have swam since March this will be some challenge but I’m looking forward to it and will keep you up to date with progress!
